
The procedure comprises body massage performed in the mineral water bath with 1.3–4 atm. pressure water stream.
Therapeutic effect:
- widening of blood vessels;
- improvement of blood flow and lymph circulation;
- facilitation of inflammatory resorption;
- improvement of muscle activity.
Indications (symptoms or states showing that underwater massage may be applied as a therapy):
- motor apparatus (joints, spine) disease/injury consequences;
- peripheral nervous system diseases;
Contraindications (conditions or states in the presence of which underwater massage is not advisable or recommended):
- acute inflammatory processes;
- 1st and 2nd stage hypertonic disease;
- cerebral and coronary blood flow disorders;
- dilated leg veins and thrombophlebitis;
- kidney stones and gallstone;
