Grand SPA Lietuva is the largest health and wellness centre, located in the very heart of Druskininkai resort, on the slope of the confluence of the rivers Nemunas and Ratnyčėlė. The main activities of Grand Spa Lietuva are to continue the old health and healing traditions of Druskininkai resort, and to help visitors to recover the physical condition of the body and mind powers. However, in Grand SPA Lietuva complex you not only can immerse yourself in the world full of sensations, but also easily combine recreation and work. We provide various services: accommodation, catering, treatment, water entertainment, organisation of conferences and events. Grand SPA Lietuva health and recreation complex aims to be environmentally friendly. The complex has implemented the largest in the Baltics geothermal heating project valued at 6 million litas. This way the issue of the huge demand for heat is also resolved, preserving the pure air of the resort. Geothermal heating costs for the complex more than twice cheaper than central heating, meanwhile, the resort air without burning gas has become cleaner.

The complex, which opened its doors in January 2010, has been invested in about 150 million. Litas. Equipped with three hotels, a water park, spas offering more than a hundred treatments. A unique Amber Room was established in the SPA House, which opened in 2013 and used more than 80 kilograms of Baltic Sea amber. Conference tourism is very popular in Druskininkai. Grand SPA Lietuva has seven modern conference rooms. The largest hall “Nemunas” seats about 350 people, has a balcony for spectators, concerts, performances, events important to the community and charity evenings are organized in this hall.

In 2004, the Government Chancellery, which operated the sanatorium, leased most of the sanatorium buildings to the Achema Group. The 35-year-old unreconstructed building required essential renovations, but lacked funds, therefore, it was decided to entrust the sanatorium to a private investor and thus preserve an important object for the resort.

Balneological cabinets were installed: intestinal showers, sub-quality, pine, nitrogen, mineral, underwater massage, mud, electro-mud, gynecological mud, sulfur, vertical baths.

The builders are putting into use the main building of the sanatorium “Lietuva”, which is now called the 1st building of the sanatorium. This building was equipped with bedrooms, treatment rooms: dental, physiotherapy, inhalation, massage, etc.

The second building of the sanatorium was put into operation. At that time, about 60 people could rest in both buildings.

The first present building of the sanatorium Lietuva was built in 1960. This building was called spec. hotel.
Only two employees, a maid and a stoker worked in this hotel, the arrived guests were serviced by the personnel of sanatorium Dainava.
